The gig offers a high level of autonomy and independence.

Our pay structure is based per dog walked and tied to how many dogs you end up walking, but we have a consistent weekly need.
Responsibilities:
Walking dogs in small group walks of up to 5 dogs (you will be supported in reaching confidence in this capability) Keep records of animal feedings, treatments, and other updates Engage in play activities and exercise with the animals We can't really demand a year long commitment, but since this job includes a large element of trust going into people's homes and taking care of their beloved pets, we prefer you are looking for a longer commitment of this type.
Qualifications:
Have availability for work between 10:
30 am- 6 pm Monday to Friday.
We will discuss scheduling needs on both your and our end to make sure we have a clear and comfortable expectation, so feel encouraged to apply even if you can't commit to the full 10:
30-6 availability daily.
Those are our working hours but it's possible we could use you in a more tailored capacity.
Previous experience in animal care or other related fields Passion to care for animals (large and small must love all dogs) and physical fitness to walk for many hours a day Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner Ability to thrive in a high intensity, high focus, but low stress job Must live in Jackson Heights or nearby area Ideal but not required:
Have a bike/scooter and/or be capable of riding a bike to get from dog to dog Job Types:

4 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Supplemental pay types:
