Agent Support Representative

Job Purpose
The Agent Support Representative will be part of our Agent Support team and play a key role in improving and maintaining business for Emerging Markets across the US Agent Channel. As Agent Support Representative, you will report directly to the Agent Support Manager and primarily be responsible for providing ongoing support to our agents.
Duties and Responsibilities
Improve the position of the agents in the market setting and maintaining a competitive exchange rate
Review the compile the market competitive intelligence provided by various sources within the company
Assign daily rates in the system according to the agent?s segmentation, the country and the correspondent
Set the proper exchange rates based on conducting a comparative analysis with the competition rates, a distance assessment and the productivity of the agents
Answer our agents inquiries and questions professionally by phone or email
Inform the agents about the commissions and charges applicable to their customers
Make recommendations that will assist agents in obtaining the best benefits for their business growth.
Alert management of new trends and new market landscapes in the assigned corridors
Monitor the evolution of the agents by keeping regular contact with them when their activity is diminishing or when we have vital business information about the activity of a Ria agent which would serve as a competitive advantage against our major competitors
Assess the satisfaction of the agents with the company service.
Managed periodical reports for Management: daily production (number of transfers)/country, production/agent, production/geographic area...etc. in order to undertake the right action for their development
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED, completed College course work preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Must be able to speak Hindi or any other South Asian dialects such as Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil or Nepali
Intermediate knowledge and working experience with Microsoft Excel
General knowledge of bookkeeping procedures, basic finance principles and accounting principles
The key characteristics this individual must possess are excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrates initiative and great phone etiquette
Knowledge of Money Transfer Industry a plus
Skills needed include attention to detail, customer service, organizational skills, problem solving and able to meet deadlines

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
